THE PROJECT

The project

Europe, open air taste museum is a three-year project aimed at enhancing the delicatessen sector and promoting Piacenza PDO-protected cured meats in Italy, Germany and France. 

The project is promoted by the PDO Piacentini Salami Protection Consortium and co-financed by the European Union to strengthen consumers' awareness and recognition of European Union quality regimes (pursuant to EU Reg. No. 1144/2014), in particular Coppa Piacentina DOP, Pancetta Piacentina DOP and Salame Piacentino DOP, favoring their consumption. 

The objective is to promote the Denominations of Protected Origin as guardians of values in which civilizations are reflected, which are the museums, with the difference that the "values" to be protected are a territory, a tradition, a production method, guaranteed by the high European standards and usable "open air".
